The air filter protects the CYPRES from water penetration in the event of a water landing. Its microporous structure ensures clean air flow but blocks water.
Together with the sealing of the unit itself, the CYPRES filter provides waterproofness for up to 24 hours at a water depth of 8 feet. Replacing the filter is user-friendly and can be performed in the field. Only use the CYPRES Filter Changer tool to unscrew the filter from the housing and to screw in the new filter.
The CYPRES filter only needs to be replaced after water contact.
